Youth Services and Partnerships Coordinator

The OpportunityThe Youth Services and Partnerships Unit leads various key programs for young people aged 12-25 years across the municipality, including managing the Phoenix Youth Hub as a key activity centre for Youth specific services.
Key Responsibilities- Planning, coordinating, and implementing contemporary integrated youth services, programs, and initiatives across the municipality.
- Determining the changing needs of young people in Maribyrnong and identifying opportunities and strategies that respond to changing local needs.
- Overseeing the activation, operations, and promotion of the Phoenix Youth Hub.
- Working collaboratively across Council to include young people in decision-making and participation throughout the organisation.
- Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with all tiers of Government and non-government agencies relevant to young people and the youth service sector in the Maribyrnong municipality.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in youth work, community development, education, or related human/social sciences discipline.
- Strong experience in the operational and strategic leadership of community-facing teams.
- Demonstrated experience in high-level partnership development and achieving positive outcomes through working with external service providers and community-based organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to balance operational service delivery with strategic planning, policy development, and project management.
- Excellent written skills, oral communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; and experience in compiling reports/submissions for funds.
- Knowledge and experience in budget preparation and monitoring.
- Engage in a meaningful role within a Values-driven organisation.
