We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Administration Assistant to join our logistics team in Fortitude Valley QLD.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our logistics team with a variety of essential tasks, including:

  • Processing and coordinating shipping and transportation requests: Handle and coordinate shipping and transportation requests from clients, ensuring all logistical details are accurately processed and communicated to relevant parties.
  • Maintaining accurate records of shipments: Keep detailed records of all shipments, including tracking information and delivery statuses. Prepare and provide regular reports on shipment activities to ensure transparency and efficiency.
  • Communicating with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers: Act as a liaison between drivers, warehouse staff, and customers, ensuring clear communication to facilitate on-time deliveries and address any issues that arise during the transportation process.
  • Handling administrative tasks: Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining documentation. Ensure that all records are accurately updated and easily accessible.
  • General office and administrative/reception duties as required.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in logistics or a similar role: Practical experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field.
  • Technical proficiency: Be proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software. Prior knowledge of fleet management and MYOB is favourable but not essential.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Effective communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and attention to detail: Capable of resolving issues and maintaining accuracy.
  • Team player: Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
