Job Description

The Port Hedland Power Station is a critical infrastructure facility that plays a vital role in Australia's energy future.

We are seeking a skilled Trades Assistant to join our Operations & Maintenance team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the site team in ensuring safe and reliable operations of the power station, battery storage system, and solar farm.

This is a residential role in Port Hedland, requiring a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

As a Trades Assistant, you will work collaboratively with the site team to ensure seamless operations and maintenance activities.

You will be responsible for warehouse management, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, as well as assisting Site Operations Personnel in maintenance tasks such as routine inspections and repairs.

Additionally, you will operate forklifts safely and efficiently, participate in regular site safety discussions to maintain a safe working environment, and perform general maintenance duties as directed by the site supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High-risk forklift license or ability to obtain
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Confined space entry certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to understand and follow work instructions and standard operating procedures
