Senior In-House Counsel

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior In-House Counsel to join our team. As a strategic partner, you will provide expert guidance across legal, regulatory, and commercial functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Review and Negotiation: Review and negotiate contracts, including customer, procurement, consultancy, IT, sponsorship, and leases
  • Legal Advice: Provide legal advice across commercial, consumer, IP, corporate, and property matters
  • Document Drafting: Draft and maintain standard contracts and templates
  • Dispute Management: Manage disputes and support litigation processes
  • Training and Guidance: Deliver legal training and guidance to the business
  • Secretarial Support: Support the Assistant Company Secretary with board materials, reports, regulatory filings, and governance tasks
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent, and admission to practice in Australia
  • Experience: Experience in-house, with exposure to governance or company secretarial work
  • Candidate Profile: Strong commercial judgment and ability to assess risk quickly; confident communicator who speaks up when it matters
