Join a high-growth, globally recognised lithium energy company driving the future of sustainable energy. We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with a minimum of 6 years' post-admission experience (PAE) to support the legal needs of major construction, project development and commercial operations.

This is an initial 3-month contract with strong potential to transition into a permanent role.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will work closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, procurement, operations and executive teams to deliver practical legal advice and support on front-end construction, infrastructure development, commercial contracts, and risk management matters.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of front-end construction and infrastructure contracts (including EPC, EPCM, consultancy and supply agreements).

Provide legal input on major project development initiatives across Australia and internationally.

Support contractual risk analysis, compliance, and mitigation strategies.

Advise on a range of general commercial and corporate matters, including joint ventures, service agreements, and procurement contracts.

Collaborate with external legal counsel where required.

Contribute to the development and improvement of internal legal processes and templates.

About You

A minimum of 6+ years' post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally gained in a top-tier firm and/or in-house legal team in the resources, infrastructure or energy sectors.

Proven experience in front-end construction law, contract drafting and project development.

Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse teams.

A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

An initial contract of approx 3 months to start immediately.
