About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team in Sydney or Melbourne. As a key member of our high-performing HR team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dynamic and collaborative workplace culture.
The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day HR operations and contributing to national and state-based HR projects. This is a broad HR generalist role that covers a wide range of functions including recruitment, learning and development, performance evaluation, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, and WHS compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and overseeing the implementation of firm-wide HR policies and procedures.
- Providing guidance to leadership on local HR laws and compliance.
- Supporting L&D initiatives including CLE/CPD tracking and training program development.
- Assisting with remuneration, benefits, and performance evaluation processes.
- Driving staff engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives.
- Supporting recruitment efforts including graduate and law school programs.
- Assisting with WHS compliance and psychological safety programs.
- Managing HR reporting, performance management, and grievance handling.
- Liaising with payroll on leave and pay queries.
- Representing HR on internal committees and working groups.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in HR operations and project coordination.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
This is a permanent full-time role, though candidates seeking a flexible work arrangement will also be considered. Please note that you will require full working rights in Australia for your application to be considered. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
