Mental Health Therapist

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to facilitate Group Therapy Programs and support individuals with mental health illnesses.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering healthcare services, demonstrating excellence in mental health treatment, and working collaboratively with the team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions to support individuals with mental health illnesses
  • Plan and deliver high-quality healthcare services that meet the needs of patients
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in mental health care
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Relevant APHRA registration or equivalent qualification
  • Mental health profession registration and/or qualifications
  • Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions
  • Familiarity with Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and other therapeutic modalities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
