Job Summary
We are seeking a professional Diversional Therapist to join our Young Adult Mental Health Units at Campbelltown Hospital. This is a rare opportunity to work in the mental health space and make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable people in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality diversional therapy interventions to consumers of mental health services, including assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation, and evaluation of recreational and leisure activities.
- Design and deliver engaging therapeutic programs that support recovery and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care with appropriate therapeutic boundaries and professionalism.
Requirements:
- A recognised degree in Diversional Therapy or other relevant qualification deemed acceptable by the employer.
- Experience in providing diversional therapy interventions with mental health consumers in group and 1:1 formats.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
