Job Title: Health Law Solicitor

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high quality, timely legal advice and services in respect of a broad range of medical defence matters.
  • Provide general medico-legal advice to members and Claims Managers.
  • Apear on behalf of medical practitioners before the Medical Board of Australia, VCAT, Coroners Court, Medicare and HCC.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary legal qualifications.
  • Eligible to hold an unsupervised practising certificate as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.
  • Demonstrated post admission experience in private practice (ideally 2-4 PQE) in medical negligence, professional conduct related litigation experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in conducting all phases of litigation and/or professional conduct cases.
