Data Center Operations Specialist

We are a trusted provider of data center solutions and IT services. Our team is currently seeking an On-Call Data Center Technician to support our operations.
Job Summary:
This is a self-employed contractor position that requires a strong background in data center equipment management and technical support. As an On-Call Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with equipment storage, staging, hardware deliveries, replacements, and troubleshooting as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-call support for data center operations, including equipment staging and delivery requests.
- Safely and securely store and stage IT hardware and equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of hardware to client sites.
- Perform hardware replacements and upgrades in data center environments.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faulty equipment to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in data center operations.
- Keep detailed records of equipment movements, issues, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective support.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data Center Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of data center equipment, IT hardware, and associated technologies.
- Ability to work on an on-call basis and respond to urgent requests.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with data center safety procedures and protocols.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing work schedules.
- Physical fitness to handle equipment and perform tasks within data center environments.
