Equipment Maintenance Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive professional to support our team in maintaining and optimising mobile mining equipment.

About the Role:
  • Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for underground mobile equipment, including loaders, trucks, and ancillary equipment. Effective planning ensures optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance activities with mechanical trades, supervisors, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain and update the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) with accurate job plans and work orders to guarantee compliance and efficiency.
  • Identify and order required parts and materials to facilitate timely completion of tasks.
  • Monitor equipment performance and maintenance trends to drive improvements in reliability and availability.
  • Assist in developing and implementing preventative maintenance strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory policies in all planning activities.
About You:
  • Previous experience in a maintenance planning role within an underground or heavy industry environment is highly valued.
  • A strong understanding of underground mobile mining equipment maintenance is essential for success.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP, Pulse, or similar) is necessary for efficient task management.
  • A trade qualification in mechanical, heavy diesel, or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required to address complex maintenance challenges.
