About the Role

Centacare is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in providing strategic HR support to designated Units within our organisation.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with managers to foster leadership development, enhance workforce capabilities, and ensure effective people management practices. You will be responsible for delivering generalist HR advice to the organisation, partnering with designated Units to execute people management strategies, and providing sound and timely advice on ER matters.

Key responsibilities of the HR Business Partner will include:

  • Delivering generalist HR advice to the organisation to help achieve a high performing culture.
  • Partnering with designated Units to help execute people management strategies.
  • Assisting with interpretation and application of relevant Awards and legislation.
  • Providing sound and timely advice on ER matters, including end-to-end performance management.
  • Integrating into business operations by building effective relationships with people leaders to assist them identify, analyse, and explore opportunities that support business Unit outcomes.
  • Supporting Units create and implement best practice recruitment and onboarding strategies.
  • Providing advice on policy development, reviews, implementation, and compliance in partnership with Catholic Safety and Injury Management.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR professional with a strong ability to build meaningful relationships with leaders and staff. You should have an ability to offer tailored and timely advice and support, that fosters a positive workplace culture, in line with Centacare values.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  • Experience providing advice and guidance in a broad range of HR functions including both Employee Relations and Industrial Relations.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of HR policies.
  • Ability to operate with a mindset of best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working in a not-for-profit organisation.
  • Experience working within the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award 2010.
