Senior Quantitative Climate Researcher

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled researcher with strong quantitative abilities and knowledge of climate processes to contribute to a project addressing Australia's climate science challenges and adaptation needs.
As part of the National Environmental Science Program Climate Systems Hub project on regional climate change guidance for local action, your work will focus on improving understanding and usability of climate projections and climate extremes.
You will collaborate with a coordinated climate change and adaptation research program across all four NESP Hubs through the Climat Adaptation Initiative. The position is based within the School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Melbourne, supervised by Dr. Andrew King, with collaboration opportunities at the Bureau of Meteorology and CSIRO.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent knowledge of climate change science and variability, with experience using climate models and large datasets.
