Enterprise SQL Database Specialist

Serving as a critical component of large enterprise environments, SQL Database Administrators are responsible for maintaining and enhancing the performance of Microsoft SQL Server instances.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee high-availability Microsoft SQL implementations
- Install, configure, upgrade, and monitor databases to ensure optimal efficiency
- Regularly analyze database performance and optimize queries to guarantee efficient query processes
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and comply with industry standards
- Collaborate with application teams to resolve database-related incidents and requests
- Operate within an IT service management framework for all work-related activities, including change, incident, and problem management
- A high level of proficiency in managing Enterprise Microsoft SQL Server is essential
- In-depth knowledge of the SQL Server Database engine is required
- Platform experience covering virtualization, Windows clustering, and associated technologies
- Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery scenarios (Always On Availability Groups, Clustering, Mirroring, Log shipping)
- Experience in performing backup and data recovery processes
- Proficiency in scripting via PowerShell to automate everyday tasks such as SQL Server installations, patching, and health checks
