About the Role

Geosyntec is expanding its presence in Australia, with a growing team of experts across the country. We are seeking a seasoned Mine Waste Management Specialist to join our Perth, Brisbane or Melbourne office.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can contribute to and manage innovative projects, including several where we serve as the designated Engineer of Record.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting clients' tailings and mine waste management teams to ensure facility safety
  • Ensuring compliance with latest standards, critical for mining companies to demonstrate ESG commitment and Social License to Operate
  • Providing technical and operational support for Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs) and Water Storage Facilities (WSF)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or related field (required)
  • Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or related field (preferred)
  • Professional registration (preferred but not essential)
  • Engineer of Record (EoR) certification (required)
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in a consulting environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
