Immunopathology Specialist

Monash Health is a leading healthcare provider in Victoria, with a strong focus on providing high-quality diagnostic services to patients.

About the Role
  • Responsibilities will include selection of laboratory investigations and analytical techniques, including evaluation and interpretation of data and limitations of testing
  • Validation of laboratory results, reporting of flow cytometry, reading of immunofluorescence assay slides, evaluation of new tests and review protocols and policies
  • Clinical liaison: provision of advice to clinicians on selection and interpretation of laboratory tests, liaison regarding critical results, preparation of materials for clinical review

The ideal candidate will also be expected to participate in:

  • Staff education and laboratory operational meetings
  • Research and development projects
  • Continued self-learning activities

Requirements

  • A medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) with current registration the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APRHA)
  • A current Victorian Working with Children Check Employee (WWCC)
  • Previous experience in Chemical Pathology is desirable
