Medical Laboratory Scientists play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services and patient care. This fixed-term position in Anatomical Pathology is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to contribute to the team.

About the Role

This job is ideal for individuals who enjoy working collaboratively to produce high-quality work and provide ongoing patient care.

  • Perform routine histopathology duties including specimen reception, tissue cut-up, tissue discard, processing and processor maintenance, embedding, microtomy, frozen sections, H&E and special stains evaluation, and troubleshooting
  • Assist in mortuary duties and participate in a rotating roster with various shifts
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience and good working knowledge of diagnostic Anatomical Pathology
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team with a determination to see tasks through to completion
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory services, ability to adhere to established procedures, and high attention to detail
  • Well-developed communication, organisation, problem-solving, and time management skills
