A Team Lead for AML Operations Excellence

About the Role
The Senior Operations Team Lead is a key position in our AML Operations team, responsible for managing the end-to-end value chain related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) operations. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the allocation of work among AML Analysts & Investigators in cells, ensuring adherence to Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Identify and understand trends that impact risk, and take remedial action when necessary
- Provide informed and timely updates related to operations and function
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to senior management and executives
- Support the development of staff, both onshore and in capability centers, to build industry-leading financial crime investigators
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of AML investigations and reporting of Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, and other related Financial Crimes
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision
- Coaching and development of staff, with a focus on building cohesion between support functions and production cells
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including business writing and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize self and direct reports
- Data analysis and interpretation of operational and quality metrics
- Experience in the financial services industry
