About the Role

As a leader in underground mining operations, you will play a critical role in driving safety, compliance, and production targets. You will oversee daily activities, ensure alignment with short and long-term mine plans, and mentor a skilled technical team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Statutory appointment under WA Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
  • Oversee daily underground mining operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Lead the coordination of production and development activities in line with mine plans.
  • Manage contractor performance to meet operational and contractual targets.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to technical and operational staff.
  • Develop and implement systems, processes, and operational reports.
  • Contribute to the development of budgets and ensure alignment with LOM design.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across site operations.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in underground development and production of gold mines.
  • Extensive knowledge of statutory requirements in underground mining.
  • Strong leadership skills and proven contractor management experience.
  • High level of proficiency with mine design and scheduling software.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership approach.
