Microsoft Dynamics Nav Admin Job Description

Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to manage, support, and enhance our on-premises Navision ERP system. As the primary system owner, you will partner with business and integration teams to ensure stability, optimize performance, and support ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) for Navision, handling configuration, permissions, upgrades, troubleshooting, and daily support.
  • Maintain system documentation, SOPs, workflows, and training materials.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and leadership to align processes and prioritize enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Integration teams to maintain and evolve system interfaces (CRM, payment, inventory, etc.).
  • Lead consolidation of legacy QuickBooks systems into Navision, overseeing migration, validation, and training.
  • Monitor system health, data integrity, and performance; recommend improvements.
  • Manage vendors, patches, and upgrades to ensure system reliability.
  • Support change management through training, communication, and documentation.
  • Ensure ERP governance, backups, security, and compliance standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years administering Microsoft Dynamics NAV in an on-premises environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP processes (finance, procurement, inventory).
  • Experience with data migration and system integration (APIs, ETL, etc.).
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server and reporting tools (Jet Reports, Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
