Picking orders is a vital part of our daily operations, requiring attention to detail and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include selecting products from storage areas in time to meet home delivery cut-off windows, ensuring picked items are in good condition and not damaged or soiled.
We follow a structured process for picking, packing, and shipping orders. This involves placing complete orders in the packing area and incomplete orders in the review area.
Action reviews are conducted at 10am and 2pm daily to ensure order processing runs smoothly and efficiently.
Maintaining picking equipment, including trolleys, bags, tubs, etc., is crucial for optimal performance.
We review customer escalations and DOT cancellations to identify areas for improvement.
Our quality control measures ensure that all items are correct, contain all parts, and are in good condition before being packed.
Packers must adhere to the packing standards guide to pack items carefully inside boxes or satchels.
Shipping labels and warning labels are applied to each parcel, and we maintain a clean and organized packing area.
The manifest is completed when orders are ready to dispatch, and we review order forecasts to allocate team members to tasks effectively.
We continuously monitor picking and packing standards and coach team members to ensure high-quality service.
