
High-Risk Contract Negotiators

We are seeking experienced Contract Managers to prepare for and facilitate straightforward contract negotiations with our Federal Government client.
About the Role:
- Develop comprehensive procurement documentation.
- Ensure compliance with government and agency procurement and contract management policies.
- Maintain accurate contract records using procurement systems, inclusive of contract spend, contractor performance, risk, and outcomes.
- Monitor and report on contract performance against established KPIs and requirements, identifying and undertaking corrective action as necessary.
- Validate contract milestones, reports, and ensure timely payment schedules.
- Assess and prepare contract variations and exemption requests as required, making informed decisions based on risk.
- Interpret contract requirements, terms, and conditions, ensuring all parties understand and deliver on their responsibilities.
- Negotiate and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve routine contractual issues and escalate more complex matters.
- Evaluate expiring contracts and utilize the results to inform future procurement strategy.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with expertise in managing high-risk contracts.
- Established experience in producing high-quality contract and procurement reporting and documentation.
- Demonstrate sound communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to provide specialist procurement and contract advice to senior stakeholders.
