Key Role: Aboriginal Health WorkerJob Description:

We are seeking an Aboriginal Health Worker/Practitioner to join our Clinical Services Team in Melbourne. The successful applicant will provide culturally competent and safe primary healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients within a correctional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally competent and safe health care to Aboriginal people, ensuring the highest level of quality service delivery.
  • Perform primary health assessments, planning, treatment, and evaluation with attention to detail and expertise.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team environment, fostering collaboration and open communication.
  • Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, aligning with the organization's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Requirements
  • Relevant and appropriate health qualification (Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care) or current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Valid and current full Australian driver's licence, facilitating professional mobility and flexibility.
