A challenging and rewarding opportunity exists for a skilled remote healthcare professional to work in the Northern Territory, as part of the NT Remote Locum Program (NTRLP). This program is dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory.
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced registered nurse/midwife to provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities. This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
- Fully paid locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered.
- Cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare.
- Free CPD-accredited eLearning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).

- Evidence of unrestricted registration as a registered nurse and midwife with AHPRA.
- Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience in midwifery.
- Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience as a registered nurse.
- Minimum of 250 hours of relevant clinical experience within the past 12 months.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Current recognised Immunisation certificate.
- Current Northern Territory Working with Children's Card (or willing to obtain).
