The role of an Operations Manager involves overseeing the daily operations of a depot, ensuring smooth service delivery and operational compliance. The position requires strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaison with drivers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily operational activities, including service delivery, compliance monitoring, driver liaison, rostering, and reporting.
  • Work closely with Depot Managers to implement business plans and strategic objectives for the site.
  • Coordinate and execute school runs, route services, special events, and charter operations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, focusing on high-quality service and performance.
  • Manage staff resource allocations, maintaining driver rosters via Coach Manager.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in transport, logistics, or operations is desirable but not essential - full training provided.
  • Minimum MR (Medium Rigid) Driver's Licence required.
  • A current PTD (Passenger Transport Driver) accreditation and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain them.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service focus and communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer literacy, navigating integrated software systems (TIMS experience highly regarded).

The successful candidate will be a team player who can effectively communicate with drivers, stakeholders, and management. They will possess excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
