Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team on a 12-month parental leave contract. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications strategies that amplify our brand and support our portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement earned media strategies to attract coverage in targeted outlets
  • Support and collaborate with our leadership team on communications-related matters
  • Manage our brand identity and ensure consistency across all channels and touchpoints
  • Oversee and create content for Open Source VC, a library of resources for our portfolio companies
  • Design and execute marketing initiatives that add value to our community, including webinars, workshops, and email campaigns
Requirements
  • Proven track record of transforming marketing and communication strategies into fully executed projects
  • Ability to work autonomously and with ambiguity, connecting the dots on strategy and executing with minimal resources
  • Strong brand champion with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read the room, media sentiment, and internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating high judgement in decision-making
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
