A Day in the Life of a Pipette Calibration Technician:
The pipette calibration technician will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. This role involves carrying out calibration, maintenance, and repair of pipettes and dispensers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out calibration, maintenance, and repair for pipettes and dispensers.
- Ensure service orders are processed efficiently and completed in a timely manner, handling customer expectations with efficient response time.
- Follow up with customers on the work progress of maintenance and calibration.
- Handle service process from allocation to completion, including instruments inspection, ordering of spare parts, managing service activities and reports via service software to enable accurate invoicing.
- Proactive in seeking new opportunities and continuous improvement, optimizing customer experience and improving efficiency.
- Develop positive partnership with customers, service operation, and product specialists to achieve revenue targets.
- Perform work in accordance with laboratory operational procedures, NATA accreditation requirements, and business ethics, such as ISO 17025, ISO 8655, ISO 9001.
- Adhere to OHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A tertiary qualification in Science or Engineering degree.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in pipette calibration and proficient technical support.
- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple responsibilities and assignments.
- Laboratory experience.
