Job Description:

Maintain and improve the accuracy of in-line process and laboratory analytical equipment to ensure effective decision making by production teams and quality is in line with company or national and international standards.

This role focuses on ensuring at-line and in-line analytical equipment supports efficient operations, yielding high-quality products that meet specifications.

The successful applicant will work autonomously, maintaining a proactive approach to troubleshooting and calibrating equipment to optimize performance.

Occasional travel to sites within Victoria and interstate may be required to provide training, calibration, and maintenance support for rapid analytical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and perform calibrations, troubleshoot and maintain equipment
  • Develop predictive models for new product groups when required on rapid analysis equipment
  • Travel to all sites across the Bega network to provide training, calibration, and maintenance support
  • Commission and ensure required calibrations available on new analytical/rapid analysis equipment
  • Coordinate service contract preventative maintenance of equipment as per agreed service contract
Requirements:

A strong background in laboratory analysis, preferably with knowledge in IR/FTIR & NIR instrumentation.

Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting analytical equipment, including the ability to engage with stakeholders both internal and external, including instrument vendors.

Confidence in decision-making and the ability to work autonomously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
