Job Description:

As an Instrumentation Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include managing fault correction, calibration, and preventative maintenance of instrumentation and control equipment. You will work closely with our team to diagnose faults, repair and calibrate control and monitoring loop elements, electronic systems, and sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities:
  • Shut down, isolate, and test run machines and equipment for maintenance purposes
  • Diagnose faults in, repair, and calibrate control and monitoring loop elements, electronic systems, and sub-assemblies
  • Perform routine calibration of process instruments, both in-situ and in the workshop
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks
  • Interpret control system and electrical/electronic circuit diagrams and engineering drawings and prepare sketches of system and circuits/circuit modifications
  • Maintain workshop equipment and reference calibration instruments in a state to be used in a GMP environment
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require relevant trade qualification (Cert III-Cert IV or equivalent) as an Electrical OR Instrumentation technician. You should have experience across a wide range of technical instrumentation in a pharmaceutical, FMCG, oil and gas, or similar industry. Additionally, you should possess sound understanding of calibration methods and experience in conducting non-conformance investigations.

You will also need to be computer literate, with knowledge of SAP or another Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team is essential. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills are also required.
