Transportation Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the daily operations of our transportation department.

This role involves coordinating vehicle fleet management, ensuring efficient and safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the acquisition, maintenance, and use of transport vehicles and equipment.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Plan and implement transportation schedules for timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor and maintain product quality during storage and transportation processes.
  • Coordinate logistics activities to optimise operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and transportation laws.
  • Maintain accurate business records and prepare operational reports.
  • Lead and support staff, including drivers and logistics personnel.
  • Supervise vehicle arrival, departure, loading, and unloading to meet schedules and standards.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in a related field.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and communication.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in maintaining business records and preparing reports.
  • Effective leadership and coordination skills.
