Job Overview

The Logistics Manager position is a critical role that oversees the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing inventory stock control, coordinating and supervising the warehouse team, maintaining internal documentation and registers, and liaising closely with key stakeholders.

This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. The successful applicant will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results while meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate recording of inventory documentation and data, manage inventory levels at optimal levels, and maintain product quality and food safety in accordance with business and legislative standards.
  • Warehouse Operations: Coordinate and supervise the warehouse team to meet daily customer order picking requirements, operate a forklift, and ensure cost-effective management of inventory storage.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Roster, coordinate, and supervise the Warehouse Picker team, develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and the sales team.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Demonstrate safety leadership, comply with relevant statutory Work Health and Safety obligations, and ensure adherence to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
Requirements and Attributes
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Supply Chain operations, including logistics, inventory, and warehousing, within an FMCG or Food Services organisation.
  • High digital dexterity with working knowledge of Microsoft suite and ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and effectively coach and mentor team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust through commitment and care.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and public holidays as required.
