Electrical Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to contribute to the leadership of Power and Low Voltage Engineering, as well as Project Management efforts for cross-discipline MEP/FP projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in power, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, fire alarm, communications, and electronic security systems. They will also have experience with medium voltage equipment systems and proficiency with load demand calculations, one-line distribution development, load flow, short-circuit analysis, and arc flash hazard analysis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing design duties, leading and mentoring subordinate staff, and contributing to the growth of the team. They will also provide project management for MEP/FP engineering and design projects, including client communication, schedule coordination, and presentation preparation.

In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and business development skills, with the ability to secure new sources of viable business and promote our services and brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the leadership of Power and Low Voltage Engineering
  • Project Management for cross-discipline MEP/FP projects
  • Design layout of lighting, lighting controls, receptacles, equipment rooms, and equipment connections
  • Prepare panelboard and equipment schedules
  • Perform system calculations and size selection
  • Review shop drawings and submittals
  • Provide project management for MEP/FP engineering and design projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License
  • Minimum 10 years' experience working in a MEP Engineering Firm or AE Firm
  • Experience in managing workflow for MEP/FP designers and engineers in the Healthcare or Science/Technology fields
  • Operational experience in REVIT and Microsoft Projects
