Job Description:

As the Senior First Nations Advisor, you will play a critical role in building relationships with Traditional Owners, First Nation Groups, and Local Aboriginal Councils, facilitating their involvement in project development and ensuring cultural heritage considerations are integrated into our operations.

You will lead meaningful engagement with First Nations communities to foster collaboration and long-term partnerships, supporting the development of renewable energy projects by advising on First Nations engagement and cultural heritage practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate Traditional Owner participation in project origination, planning, and development stages.
  • Develop and implement strategies for effective First Nations engagement and cultural heritage management.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in First Nations engagement and relationship building.
  • Tertiary qualifications in community development, archaeology, anthropology, or cultural heritage management.
  • Valid driving licence.
