Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and analyze comprehensive financial and physical exposure models for various energy assets.
  • Design and execute hedging strategies in collaboration with Trading and Origination teams, ensuring optimal risk management outcomes.
  • Enhance and maintain portfolio modelling tools and data integrity, fostering seamless data flow and analysis.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to business units, informing strategic decision-making.
  • Support the deployment of advanced risk systems and develop metrics to assess portfolio risk, maintaining a strong focus on mitigation and optimization.
  • Align financial KPIs with Middle Office reporting for enhanced consistency and transparency.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and Analytics teams to improve modelling accuracy, streamline execution processes, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning and identify opportunities for portfolio synergies across upstream and downstream assets, driving growth and profitability.

Key Requirements:

  • Possession of a tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
  • Substantial experience in portfolio modelling, risk management, or energy market analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL programming languages for data manipulation and model development.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a focus on delivering tangible business value.

The ideal candidate will possess a sophisticated analytical mindset and a genuine passion for the energy sector, coupled with the ability to adapt to emerging trends and technologies. Experience in portfolio modelling, risk management, or energy market analysis is highly desirable.
