Green Energy Trader Opportunity

The Role:

ENGIE is seeking an experienced Green Energy Trader to join our trading team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing trading activities in risk management and market access, asset management, green solutions, and energy supply businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimise and secure the gross margin for the generation, B2B and retail assets portfolio through the ongoing management of complex illiquid market risk.
  • Provide support to the Commercial team in the development of a 3rd party risk management and assets management franchise.
  • Manage market risks associated with Greens and Certificates, as well as Power books.
  • Monitor relevant commodity markets and assess implications for the trading and portfolio books.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of power generation and Australian power/gas wholesale markets.
  • Experience in the development, negotiation, and management of structured contracts associated with managing merchant exposures.
  • Ability to balance stakeholders and possess effective communication skills.
  • Nimble learning and curiosity to explore further understanding.
