Alinta Energy is one of Australia's biggest energy retailers, generators and developers with over 1.1 million customers.

We're investing in large-scale renewables and storage projects as part of our ongoing effort to provide reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.

As a Regulatory Specialist, you'll provide specialist advice and analysis to navigate regulatory challenges and support growth objectives. You'll partner with east coast Merchant Energy business units to shape strategies for electricity and gas wholesale markets.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Establish and implement strategies for wholesale market regulatory issues
  • Analyse regulatory developments and prepare submissions to influence market rule changes
  • Represent Alinta Energy in industry working groups and discussions with external stakeholders
  • Advise the business to maximise commercial opportunities within regulatory frameworks
  • Present updates on regulatory changes to internal stakeholders

**Your Experience:**

  • Degree in Economics, Commerce, Business, Law or related discipline
  • Experience in energy markets or similar regulated industries
  • Strategic thinking and independent judgment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
