About the Role

Epiroc Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Identification and Pricing: Identify and engage with suppliers to negotiate optimal pricing and terms.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Collaboration with Sourcing Contacts: Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize sourcing opportunities.
  • Corporate Governance and Standards: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
  • Strategic Purchasing Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, including supplier performance and contract management.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete various administrative requirements, such as loading quotations, submitting standard cost changes, and ensuring availability of parts and accurate pricing.
  • Request for Quotes and Purchase Agreements: Coordinate the procurement process, including issuing RFQs and negotiating purchase agreements.
  • Resolving Supplier Invoices: Manage and resolve any issues related to supplier invoices and payments.
  • Sourcing Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sourcing data, including supplier information and contract details.
Requirements
  • End-to-End ERP Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the entire ERP system.
  • Process Knowledge: Ability to follow standardized processes to contribute to operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Product Knowledge and Technical Skills: Deep understanding of the products and materials being sourced, along with technical skills related to their specifications and requirements.
  • Good Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills in Excel and Power BI preferred.
  • Goal-Oriented: Ability to work towards goals and objectives.
  • Problem Solver: Strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Networking Skills: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Keeping the customer at the forefront of decision-making and action.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills and Business Knowledge: Strong negotiation skills and business knowledge to drive business growth.
  • Attention to Detail and Document Control: Strong attention to detail and document control skills to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Root Cause Analysis and Process Improvement: Ability to analyze and improve processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Qualifications in Purchasing, Sourcing, Project Management or Supply Chain: Qualifications in purchasing, sourcing, project management, or supply chain preferred, demonstrating commitment to professional development and expertise in the field.
