Claims Consultant

This is a key role within our Group space where you will be responsible for managing life insurance claims from start to finish, providing a seamless experience for our customers.

The successful candidate will have a strong analytical and problem-solving ability, excellent communication and empathy skills, and a solid understanding of injuries, illnesses, and treatment.

  • A key focus of this role involves providing a best-in-class customer and client experience, including regular communication in relation to the status of claims and managing expectations, to deliver on quality health and claim outcomes.
  • Independently managing a portfolio of TPD and IP claims end-to-end.
  • Assess, analyse, calculate and finalise claims payments.
  • Active engagement of external treating doctors, rehabilitation consultants as well as in-house medical and legal specialists and delivering timely outcomes for our customer.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with our philosophy, policy and claims procedures.
  • Participate in case conferences, peer case discussions, and instructing third party service providers.
Requirements
  • Life insurance claims management experience within Group policy - IP and/or TPD claims experience is ideal OR;
  • Workers Compensation or Return to Work claims management experience with an Allied Health background.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving & time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication & empathy to support customers during challenging times.
  • Solid understanding of injuries, illnesses and treatment.
