About the Position:
We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our team as an Injury Management Coordinator on a full-time basis.
This role involves managing injuries, coordinating medical treatment, rehabilitation and return to work programs for work-related and non-work-related illness & injuries. Key responsibilities include acting as a specialist advisor/internal consultant to partner with key stakeholders in delivering effective injury and workers' compensations claims management.
The successful candidate will have an Allied Health qualification, demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and possess a high level of integrity and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a specialist advisor/internal consultant to partner with key stakeholders in delivering effective injury and workers' compensations claims management
- Support operations teams with pre-employment medicals and project work within the Health & Wellbeing team
- Coordinate workplace injury rehabilitation through proactive medical management and the development & monitoring of return to work programs
- Effectively manage and process workers' compensation claims
- Be available for calls or call-out response as reasonably required
- Attend employee medical appointments to ensure timely and effective case management
Requirements:
- Allied Health qualification - Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist, or similar
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- High level of integrity and discretion
- Demonstrated experience in injury management processes
- Understanding of Workers Compensation Claims Management highly regarded
