Job Description We are seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Regional Advisor - Health and Safety. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in maintaining the health, safety, and wellbeing of our staff and volunteers. This includes providing technical advice and support to managers, staff, and volunteers on health and safety matters. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and managing risks to health and safety, preventing injuries, and promoting a healthy and safe work environment. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including managers, supervisors, and external partners to achieve these goals. Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing expert guidance on health and safety matters
  • Conducting risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards
  • Developing control strategies to minimize or eliminate risks
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to implement injury management plans
  • Managing workplace incidents and investigations
Required Skills and Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need to possess relevant qualifications and experience in workplace health and safety. Specifically, we are looking for individuals who hold a minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) qualification or can obtain it within a mutually agreed timeframe. Additionally, experience in work, health, and safety investigations is highly desirable. We also require applicants to have a current Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator certification or be able to obtain it within a mutually agreed timeframe.
