The position of Lead Breast Cancer Care Nurse is a key role in the delivery of high-quality patient care, requiring strong leadership and collaboration skills.
Job Summary:
This is an opportunity to lead a team of dedicated professionals in providing expert clinical care, shaping best practice, and contributing strategically to breast cancer services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate complex breast cancer care across settings, utilising evidence-based pathways and validated assessment tools.
- Guide best practice, develop and review clinical guidelines, and model advanced nursing practice.
- Participate in service and workforce planning, and influence future directions in breast cancer services.
- Provide advanced education for colleagues and support the professional development of the broader cancer nursing team.
- Build strong links with oncology, palliative care, allied health, and community services.
- Participate in internal and external committees and raise awareness about breast cancer support services.
Requirements:
Applicants must possess excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, as well as a deep understanding of breast cancer care principles and practices.
