Job Description

As a senior operations manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our housing operations. This includes monitoring performance, training staff, reviewing policies and procedures, and identifying new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading and developing operational housing staff to ensure they reach their full potential
  2. Ensuring the team manages rental arrears, vacancies, tenancy inspections, waiting lists, and addressing specific requirements unique to the region
  3. Developing strategies to maintain consistent standards in line with national policy and procedure
  4. Proactively managing stakeholder relationships, including funders, and responding to escalated issues
  5. Contributing to developing and implementing strategies that connect tenants to additional support through tenant feedback and managing informal and formal appeals and complaints
Requirements for Success

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in community or public housing sectors
  • Prior experience in leadership and operational management
  • The ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
  • Strong administration skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM packages
  • Exceptional relationship management skills
  • A high-level customer service focus
  • A tertiary qualification in social work, business, or a related field
  • The ability to comply with biological safety policies and be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
