Job Summary

This role oversees community outreach and engagement initiatives, fostering partnerships with underrepresented groups in the engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement strategic plans for outreach programs, targeting women in engineering, indigenous communities, and gateway initiatives.
  • BUILD and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders within UNSW and externally to enhance collective impact.
  • Monitor and track project deliverables, ensuring alignment with approved plans and metrics.
  • Provide expert advice on student attraction and retention, particularly from underrepresented cohorts.
  • Develop and execute targeted marketing and communications strategies.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement across multiple channels.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a higher education setting or working closely with underrepresented backgrounds.
  • Expertise in engaging students, crafting programs/initiatives, and managing complex projects.
  • PASSION for equity, diversity, and inclusion, particularly in the engineering sector.
  • Substantial project coordination experience, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Engagement and stakeholder management skills, ability to work collaboratively and independently.
