Job Title: Strategic Human Resources Lead

The successful applicant will lead the human resources function, encompassing recruitment, learning and development, work health and safety, advisory services to management and staff.

This position will cultivate a high-performance culture by managing change and fostering industrial relations, providing coaching and support regarding people and culture matters.

The role forms part of an extended committee responsible for strategic decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level advice and consultancy services to management and staff consistent with legislation, industrial instruments and organizational policy directives.
  • Promote capability building among managers and employees through expert coaching and education on people and culture-related matters.
  • Lead a culture of safety and wellbeing by overseeing the management of Work Health Safety function and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the Learning and Development function ensuring learning requirements are met with the organization and relevant governing bodies.
  • Drive workforce performance using metrics and analysis of workforce data, partnering with senior management to develop strategies for improvement aligned with strategic objectives.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources management or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in providing technical, specialized HR advice and solutions at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in managing industrial relations and organizational change processes.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively, leading indirect team members in creating a safe and quality working environment.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills enabling reporting on complex issues, sound decision making, and timely responses.
