Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned employment law specialist to join our team for an onward secondment with a leading education sector. This role involves providing expert advice on employment law, employer relations, and safety law.

  • Deliver high-quality legal advice and support on employment, employee relations, and work health and safety matters, including disciplinary actions, termination processes, and complex workplace complaints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, IT, and program leaders, to develop and implement an employment law compliance program aligned with legislative and enterprise agreement obligations.
  • Support the organisation's response to regulatory bodies, focusing on wage compliance and reporting under the Fair Work Act 2009.
  • Manage internal grievance processes, industrial disputes, enterprise bargaining, and employee relations matters in accordance with regulatory and enterprise agreement requirements.
  • Develop and review employment contracts, enterprise agreements, policies, and internal procedures to ensure compliance with legal frameworks.
  • Participate in internal investigations into misconduct, discrimination, or breaches of workplace policies, maintaining procedural fairness and documentation standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
