Senior Communications Specialist

We operate and maintain a vast network in New South Wales, serving over 50 emergency services agencies and utilities. Our trusted Field Service teams ensure the continuity of our network, while our skilled Operators keep the public informed during times of crisis.

As a Senior Communications Specialist, you will support and maintain the Motorola P25 system for the NSW Public Safety Network, focusing on administering and maintaining the P25 PSN operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Motorola P25 Network management tools and architecture.
  • Assist in the technical change management process by testing all changes that have the potential to affect End User Devices.
  • Escalate and provide support to level 3 support as and when required.
  • Provide engineering support to broader NOCC, L2 and field teams where needed.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in understanding protocols, standards, and interfaces allowing interoperability between core elements or different vendors within the network core.
  • Advanced knowledge of DC power systems and batteries.
  • Advanced analysis and fault-finding skills at a systems level.
