Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for procuring parts for internal repairs, assisting and procuring parts for project sites as needed. You will also coordinate pickups and deliveries, manage inventory, purchasing and invoicing.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe work practices.
  • Participating in regular toolbox meetings to stay up-to-date with workshop rules and regulations.
  • Liaising with the Operations Manager, workshop managers and supervisors on a daily basis to ensure seamless communication.
  • Purchasing parts and consumables to supply workshops and technicians in the field.
  • Allocating parts and consumables to correct assets through the implementation of a purchase order system.
  • Working to tight schedules while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Adopting and continuing Lean practices to reduce waste and improve cost efficiency.
  • Maintaining stock levels for critical parts and consumables to ensure workshop repair needs are met daily.
  • Maintaining an organized and clean warehouse environment with regular stock takes.
Requirements:
  • Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong parts interpreting skills with experience in Heavy Machinery such as Plant and Trucks preferred but not essential.
  • Sound knowledge of Heavy Machinery and Plant preferred but not essential.
  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to delivering results.
  • A personable and approachable individual who is willing to help others.
  • A team player who is action-focused and result-oriented, able to quickly adapt to machine requirements.
  • Ability to problem-solve and engage peers to achieve best possible outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with a range of individuals.
  • Experience working in a high-performance team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours with some overtime required.
  • Full working rights within Australia.
