**PURPOSE OF POSITION**
In partnership with the Events and Operations Manager, and the other Events Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of all catering jobs and events and daily operational functions. The role's primary purpose is to ensure seamless event coordination, from planning to execution on the day of the event, and to assist in the smooth operation of our business. You will collaborate closely with all M2 Kitchen employees, suppliers and customers to guarantee exceptional service and ensure that every detail is meticulously planned and executed to exceed expectations. As an Events Coordinator, you will make a significant impact on the operation, growth and culture of M2 Kitchen, as well as our clients and external stakeholders.
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Managing the floor at weddings and events, including but not limited to, leading and coordinating the front of house staff and liaising with the kitchen and all other vendors to ensure the smooth execution of our food service and all other formalities.
- Use various computer software to create quotes and invoices, meticulously curate event documentation for the kitchen and front-of-house staff, project manage every wedding and communicate with all other team members.
- Ensure all event details, including logistics and event execution, are taken care of
- Use initiative to solve problems and create successful outcomes in real time
- Positively contribute to a world-class hospitality culture
- Ensure the experience for our customers at each event is exceptional, by going above and beyond
- Play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operations and growth of our business
- Be a Brand Ambassador
**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry (off-site catering or event management is most desirable)
- A genuine love of and passion for food and culinary excellence and an unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service to create unforgettable experiences
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills, including the ability to converse confidently with staff, customers and vendors
- A friendly, bubbly and professional personality to be able to form strong relationships with our customers and all external stakeholders
- Ability to work efficiently and remain calm and focussed whilst in a high-pressure, fast-paced catering/events environment
- Exceptional initiative and ability to stay several steps ahead in order to anticipate and resolve issues
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to go the extra mile to exceed customer expectations and support the wider M2 Kitchen team
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (average weekly hours will be 15-20 depending on how busy we are). Typical days/hours will be three days per week Mon-Fri and some Saturdays.
- A valid driver's licence and your own transport as you are required to work at various locations
