We have an exciting career opportunity working within our Waste and Sustainability services as a permanent full-time Waste Manager.Job DescriptionThis role exists to manage waste services to ensure implementation and delivery of services in line with performance indicators, regulatory and contractual compliance and a high level of service delivery to the community.To experience success in this role, you will need to manage and coordinate waste operations to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of waste services. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, have demonstrated knowledge of regulatory and contractual compliance and drive change management initiatives to introduce and sustain new processes that contribute to the growth and durability of the operations.We are seeking a highly motivated person with the ability to coach and lead a team and meet challenges head on. The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in waste management within an environmentally sensitive landscape. A focus on leading a sustainable community will also be a key driver for the successful candidate.The ideal candidate will possess and be able to demonstrate the following:

Skills required for this senior role include:
  • An understanding of project management and business planning.

  • Knowledge and understanding of project budget management, project reporting, project finalisation, contract administration and tendering.

  • Highly developed skills in general business, management, including finance and computer literacy.
