**About the Role**This role provides essential guidance, direction, and support to our logistics team, ensuring efficient operations throughout the shift. With a focus on inventory management, the Logistics Supervisor ensures products are stored and dispatched accurately and on time to meet DIFOT (Delivered in Full, On Time) requirements. You will also train and support team members to enhance their performance while maintaining open communication with production and customer service teams. As a key link between internal operations and external customers, you will help ensure logistics activities align with production schedules and meet customer expectations.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Safety**:

- Maintain a safe work environment and demonstrate a commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Identify and report risks and hazards, ensuring compliance with all OHS requirements.

**Customer Quality & Assurance**:

- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and maintain accurate records for legislative and accreditation requirements.
- Participate in customer and supplier audits to uphold quality standards.
- Promote adherence to animal welfare and environmental compliance, reporting any risks or issues promptly.

**People Leadership**:

- Build and maintain effective working relationships through open, honest, and constructive communication.
- Lead by example, promoting a positive team culture aligned with company values and behaviours.
- Foster collaboration and cooperation across teams and departments.
- Support individual growth and development to maximise team productivity and performance.

**Operational Excellence**:

- Achieve and maintain DIFOT by ensuring all customer orders are fulfilled on time and in full.
- Coordinate with production and planning teams to align product output with logistics capacity.
- Optimise inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper FIFO (First-In, First-Out) rotation.
- Utilise inventory systems to monitor operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Support lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

**Team Performance**:

- Build and develop a skilled logistics team through effective training and feedback.
- Foster a culture of CI (continuous improvement) by implementing process enhancements and encouraging team input.

**About You**
- Proven experience in logistics, inventory management, or a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced, perishable goods environment.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a focus on training and development.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in using inventory systems and performance metrics.
- Commitment to quality assurance, compliance, and safety standards.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
